Hello Griffith Woods Families, 

Thank you to everyone who came to our Open House on March 6. Our students were so proud to share their learning with their families, and it was wonderful to see so many families taking the time to explore the classrooms, ask questions, and celebrate the hard work of our students. Moments like these help strengthen the connection between home and school and remind our students how supported they are in their learning. We truly appreciate the time you took to join us and help make the evening such a positive and meaningful experience for our school community.

Reminders:   

Parent Teacher Conferences – March 20 from 8 AM - 1 PM  

Book with your child's teacher on your MyCBE account for ONLINE conferences if you have not already booked an appointment and need more information from your child's teacher.   

  • For Kindergarten to Grade 4 (and Mr. Sheen's Gr.5 class), you book 1 slot with your child's Homeroom teacher 
  • For Grade 5-9 (and Mrs. Montgomery and Mrs. Campbell’s Grade 4 classes), you book 1 time to see both your child's Core teachers (Math/Science and ELAL/Social Studies) 
  • You can also book a timeslot to see your child's PE/Music teachers if necessary

Late Buses 

We have had multiple late buses over the last few weeks.  They are either late coming to the school or late for pick up.  Please download the My Bus Stop App so that you receive the most up to date information. https://www.mybusstop.ca/   

Feedback for Transportation 

To recognize the outstanding efforts of a bus driver, contact the service provider directly. If you email them, please copy transportation@cbe.ab.ca so the team can share our thanks as well. 

To discuss a concern about a driver/service issue, also start with the bus service provider.  

If the situation is unresolved, please contact CBE Transportation Services directly at transportation@cbe.ab.ca. The CBE Transportation Services team will look into the concern and follow up with you.

School Plans for 2026-2027 

We will be sending out information on how to tell the school about your intentions for the 2026-2027 school year.  This helps us plan for next year.  Please check your email on Monday and make sure to complete it by April 3, 2026.
