Meet the Teacher 

Our Meet the Teacher night is Thursday Sept. 26 from 5 PM to 7 PM.  This is an informal night to come into the school with your child and see their classes and introduce yourself to your child's teachers.   

Tryouts for Soccer and Basketball Begin!

Tryouts begin this week for soccer and basketball.  The dates are also on our calendar page.

Cross Country has their first meet this Wednesday at Stanley Park. 

For more details refer to Mr. Jordan's e-mail sent out to families with children in grades that are able to participate.  

Apple Fundraiser

Griffith Woods School Council Garden committee is pleased to offer Davison Orchards apples fundraiser again this year! 

All sales help keep our school garden going, including building deer fencing, installation of watering systems and garden towers to start seeds in the winter!

All sales of 5 boxes or more are eligible for a Starbucks, Subway or Mastermind gift card. Order Deadline is September 11, 2024 at Noon and pickup date will be September 24. 

Forms, Forms, and More Forms

Each year, schools have a variety of forms that parents/legal guardians are required to complete or review and update.  Please complete the following forms online in SchoolEngage in your MyCBE account.

  • Demographic Verification – 2024-25 – This form includes your child’s personal information as well as parent/legal guardian contact information
  • Annual Authorization Form – Combines the following forms: School District use of Personal Information; Consent for CBE Use of Student Information; Consent for use of Student Information by News Media and Outside Groups)
  • Citizenship Information Update Form
  • Volunteer Registration Form

These forms are hard copies and have been handed out with your child or can be printed if relevant.

  • Student Health Plan – To be completed only if a physical or medical condition may affect attendance or if medication is to be taken at school. To be printed off and handed into the Office or filled out and e-mailed, Student-Health-Plan.pdf Student-Health-Emergency-Response-Protocol.pdf 
  • Student Device and Code of Conduct Contract – Handed out by HR teachers to all students and needs to be returned to your child’s homeroom teacher.

Traffic Safety

If dropping off/picking up students, here are some safety reminders

  • Please refrain from dropping off/picking up students in the staff parking lot
  • When dropping off /picking up students please do not stop in the school bus zones on front of the school, which is marked by cones and sandwich boards.
  • When dropping off/picking up students, ensure you use the crosswalks when crossing the street
  • Please do not make U turns on 26th Ave.
