Your child’s class will collect an item specified on the list below (this is a list of most needed items at the Drop-In Centre) until Monday Dec. 18.

• All materials collected go the Drop-In Centre
• Classes will work together to do some card making that we will include in the care packages that Community Care classes will be putting together of all the items collected

Purdy’s Fundraiser

Thank you to everyone who contributed to our Purdy’s fundraiser! We raised $2709.92 for the school’s CTS program. A big shout out to our top sellers Ivy and Smith Goodwin!!

Purdy’s pick up date is this Friday, December 8th from 8:00am-2:00pm. Pick up location: 226 Discovery Ridge Terrace SW. Please email president@fgwss.org if you need to make alternative arrangements.

Spirit Week

Our students in Community Care are leading a Spirit Week the last week before holidays.

• Thursday Dec. 21 – Jersey Day/Griffith Woods Wear
• Friday Dec. 22 – Ugly Sweater Day

Soft Entry Routine

A reminder that we open the doors at 7:50am. Our buses arrive between 7:45am - 7:50am and we have supervision out front of the building and on the playground at 7:45am. Please ensure that your child dresses for the weather as there will be times that students will be outside until the doors open.

Scholastic Book Fair Continues this Week

Hooray, the Scholastic Book Fair is coming soon to Griffith Woods!

Starting on December 1, we will have a kickoff to the Book Fair in the library from 12:00pm - 2:30pm so that families can come shop the fair.

From December 4 to December 7, students will have the opportunity to come to the fair during their weekly library time and over the lunch period. There will be a large selection of books for all reading levels for the kids to choose from.

Every purchase supports our school and helps keep our kids reading!
