Student Safety

The mornings are dark and Winter has arrived with slippery road conditions and low visibility that can make for a safety an issue. Please:

• Take extra time
• Use crosswalks and look both ways
• Do not drop off in staff parking lot
• Obey traffic rules, stop at stop signs, no U Turns, and follow posted speed limits

Winter Concert

Our talented choir and band students will be performing, ‘Songs for a Winter Night’, here at Griffith Woods this Wednesday Dec. 13 at 7pm. You are invited to come and enjoy the show.

Scholastic Book Fair Continues this Week

Thank you to all parents, students, and teachers for supporting our Scholastic Book Fair. A special thank you to Mrs. Howard for bringing it to GW and organizing it, as well to our parent volunteers that helped make this event a huge success. Sales were over $11 000 and GW will receive a substantial portion of that to improve our library collection.

GW Season of Giving

Your child’s class will collect an item specified on the list below (this is a list of most needed items at the Drop-In Centre) until Monday Dec. 18.

• All materials collected go the Drop-In Centre
• Classes will work together to do some card making that we will include in the care packages that Community Care classes will be putting together of all the items collected.
